Mama to Frankie Sunday, yoga teacher and founder of yoga for matrescence.

Before I became pregnant I had no idea there was a name for the transition into motherhood, but I was very grateful when I found it. Understanding matrescence in all its phenomenal and wondrous complexity saved me from feeling totally overwhelmed during my (not-so-great!) pregnancy. Lucy Jones and her biographical exposé on Matrescence pulled me out of some very challenging moments! I went on to study and complete 85hrs training with the internationally celebrated pregnancy yoga teacher Sally Parkes during my own pregnancy. My research and training has been so enlightening in many ways, from the emotional to the physical ways a woman’s body transforms from the moment she conceives, to the spiritual and animalistic ways in which we connect to our babes when they arrive. It is also a brutal, scary, traumatic and a life changing time. And exhausting. Let’s not forget about the exhaustion! All of these factors and reasons are what inspired me to retrain, creating classes which are specifically designed for different points in your journey, offering a safe, nourishing space for you to breath, move, and be with yourself again.

I am based in Newcastle upon Tyne where I live with my finacé Jake, baby girl and part time pooch Ziggy.

2020 / 2021 - Shamanic Energy Healing - Studied Warriors of Light Paths 1, 2 and 3 with Esther Lim & Deborah Seth Jackson.

2016 - 200 hrs Vinyasa, Hatha and Meditation at Vinyasa Yoga School, Rishikesh, India.
